Our Inner Nine Year Old Girl

President Obama’s speech the other night, wherein he sought to help us cope with the recent shootings in Arizona, was beautiful. I was particularly moved by his efforts to help us see that we are all one family. That we are grieving together as a nation for people we may not know personally, but feel that we do know. Obama’s words about living up to Christina Green’s view of life and democracy were for me the most emotional and innovative portions of what he said.  I drew the above sketch this morning with that thought in mind.
