Twitter-Sandbox Etiquette

The other day I was having brunch with a friend and we spent a fair amount of time talking about the internet. She and I did not actually meet on twitter, but we might as well have.  Since she lives in CA and I in New York, our friendship is mostly from our time on twitter.  Contrary to what some people say, it is a place where one can make meaningful  friendships.

That said, there are rules.   Those born in the last ten years, I would say are born knowing the rules.  Like the kids above. The sandbox is their space, and they have their rules. Mom needs to respect those rules. There’s twitter etiquette and there’s sandbox etiquette, and then there’s sandbox-twitter etiquette. ‘Common, mom.
