Less Pundit Hot Air

I must admit that watching the Republicans flail around trying to find candidates to come up against President Obama is kind of fun. The wild card out there–Sarah Palin–has not indicated her candidacy yet, which is a little disconcerting.  My gut tells me she cannot win; but then didn’t we think that about Ronald Reagan?  If she enters the race, it will change everything in an instant, and it will be amusing and scary.

It does seem as if nothing can get in the way of President Obama being re-elected. But then I fear it is naive to think that way, so much can happen in the next eighteen months. So while it is a fun sideshow right now, I just want to vote and get it over with. A lot of money would be saved, a lot of hot pundit air would not be blown, reputations that maybe should not be saved would be saved.  I’m willing to forgo the entertainment.
