About

This blog was started to promote my new book, published by Chronicle, and has evolved into writing and cartoons about anything. That could be: cartoons, politics, growing up, women, sex, politics, love, clothes, hair, feminism, sexism, ageism, The New Yorker, drawing….I could go on. But won’t.

I am a contract cartoonist for The New Yorker Magazine and author of numerous books. I also write a weekly column for Forbes.com called News Junkie about politics and culture.  You can see more of my cartoons at lizadonnelly.com and the cartoonbank.com, womensenews.org, opensalon.com and salon.com, narrativemagazine.com.  My commentary has been published on the NewYorker.comHuffingtonPost.com, the DailyBeast.com.

I also am a speaker and lecturer, having spoken at TED, The United Nations, The New Yorker Festival and many other places, including colleges, universities, libraries, museums. I have taught at Vassar College in American Culture and Women’s Studies.

glad you’re doing this Liza – and it’s a very very respectable first effort – I wouldn’t apologize or minimize it at all-
Looking forward to the book – and so excited to hear it will be in the likes of Anthropologie – one of my favorite browsing places too.
